About this programme

Ledge Light Launch is a pitch competition run by seCTer (Southeastern Connecticut Enterprise Region). The current run is called the Windham Edition, done in partnership with the Windham Area Chamber of Commerce, and awards $10,000 per competition.

How it works

The competition runs on a quarterly schedule through the year. For 2026, the confirmed date was March 24th at The Lakeview Restaurant in Coventry, CT, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; June, September, and December dates and locations were listed as forthcoming as of this guide's verification.

Ahead of the March cycle, seCTer held information sessions on February 24th, March 3rd, and March 10th, with an application deadline of March 13th. Selected finalists were required to attend a meeting and rehearsal during the week of March 15th.

Who can apply

The competition is open to all businesses, but scoring favors new startups based in Windham County.

Existing businesses that apply need to explain how the prize money would help the business enter or access a new market to grow.

How to apply

  1. Attend one of the information sessions before the deadline if you want more detail on the process.
  2. Submit the pitch application and a completed pitch deck using seCTer's provided PowerPoint template before the deadline.
  3. If selected as a finalist, attend the required rehearsal meeting in the week before the live pitch event.

Documents you’ll typically need

  • Completed pitch application
  • Pitch deck built on seCTer's provided PowerPoint template
