About this programme

Hawaii Wave is a dual-use incubator for established Hawaii-based companies that want to move a civilian technology into federal government and defense use. The Pacific International Center for High Technology Research (PICHTR) runs the program, working with additional partners including HTDC.

The current cohort has 11 companies from a range of technology sectors.

How it works

The program runs 7 months and centers on weekly cohort sessions with support tailored to each company, alongside mentorship, technical assistance, and strategic guidance.

Participants get exclusive networking, participation in the PACT and Pacific Tech conferences, guidance from industry leaders, help aligning with DoD requirements, and support with SBIR/STTR grants and Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs).

The program does not take equity.

The company must be based in Hawaii; local businesses are prioritized.

The program's ideal applicant has at least 5 years of company maturity, with established operations and proven technology.
