About this programme
Detroit Elevate is an official partner program of TechTown Detroit, run jointly by TechTown Detroit and the Gilbert Family Foundation, with additional support from QT Business Solutions. It is built for growth-stage businesses on their journey toward continued sustainability, growth and scalability, targeting established businesses that have moved beyond the startup phase.
The program recognizes businesses that have launched and maintained operations for three or more years in Detroit, Hamtramck, or Highland Park, and connects them to resources, capital, and technical assistance meant to enhance operations, improve customer experience, and expand services. It also aims to drive more customers and attention to these businesses through public visibility.
How it works
The program runs on a cohort model. Selected participants in a cohort receive technical assistance and business assessment services, featured business spotlights, and a $5,000 grant upon successful completion of the program.
Beyond the grant itself, Detroit Elevate opens doors to longer-term capital, such as lines of credit and loans.
Who can apply
Businesses must be established (past the startup phase), based in Detroit, Hamtramck, or Highland Park, and have launched and maintained operations for at least three years.
Target businesses have a proven business model with a steady customer base, core employees on payroll, and a growth-oriented focus, typically needing help scaling systems, retaining talent, and accessing capital.
How to apply
- Apply through the Zoho Public Forms application portal linked on the Detroit Elevate site.
