About this programme

NJ Founders & Funders is organized by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) to arrange warm introductions between innovative, emerging New Jersey companies and sophisticated angel and institutional investors.

The event runs twice a year and is built around one-on-one meetings: selected companies get matched with investors based on company profile and investment thesis, then sit down for individual sessions to talk strategy, business model, and funding. NJEDA reports that over 90% of participating companies secured additional meetings with at least one investor afterward.

How it works

Each session pairs a company with an investor for a 10-minute one-on-one meeting to discuss the company's strategy, business model, and funding needs.

Matching is based on company profile and investor investment thesis, so companies meet investors likely to be a fit.

The event also includes individual Q&A feedback on the business and general networking opportunities.

Who can apply

Open to innovative, emerging New Jersey companies; the page does not lay out detailed formal eligibility criteria beyond applying through NJEDA's registration form.
