About this programme

NVIDIA Inception is NVIDIA's free global program for AI and data-science startups, built to guide companies through the NVIDIA platform and ecosystem from prototype to production. There are no application fees, no membership fees, and NVIDIA takes no equity for participation.

The program is not a funding vehicle in the grant or investment sense — it does not write a check into the company. Instead it bundles technical enablement (SDKs, model libraries, developer tools, training), commercial perks (preferred pricing on select NVIDIA hardware and software, partner cloud credits), and go-to-market support (co-branded marketing, event access, investor introductions through Inception Capital Connect and the NVIDIA VC Alliance) into one membership.

Because it runs on a rolling basis with no cohorts or fixed application windows, a startup can apply at any time and, once accepted, remains a member with benefits that expand as its engagement with NVIDIA's platform grows.

How it works

Membership has no cohort structure or fixed phases. A company applies once through the online portal; if accepted, it becomes a standing Inception member and its profile in the portal determines which resources, offers, and introductions it is shown.

Benefits are not front-loaded: NVIDIA describes them as developing over time as the relationship deepens, so a newly accepted member typically starts with training access, developer tool access, and preferred-pricing eligibility, with investor and go-to-market opportunities (Inception Capital Connect, curated VC events, marketing features) opening up as the company builds on the platform.

Preferred pricing applies only to select NVIDIA hardware and software products and is not a guarantee of hardware availability or of a fixed discount rate.

Who can apply

A company must employ at least one developer, maintain a working company website, be officially incorporated, and be less than 10 years old at the time of application. An incorporation date is a required field on the application — pre-incorporation companies cannot apply.

NVIDIA excludes several categories from membership regardless of other criteria: consulting or outsourced-development firms, cryptocurrency-associated companies, cloud service providers, resellers/distributors, and companies that are already publicly listed.

A startup does not need to already be using NVIDIA GPUs to apply — the program states it helps members figure out which NVIDIA solutions fit their workload after joining.

How to apply

  1. Go to the NVIDIA Inception application portal (programs.nvidia.com/phoenix/application) and create an account.
  2. Submit business details: company name, incorporation date, website, funding status, and industry/use case information.
  3. Provide product information describing what the company builds and how it uses (or plans to use) NVIDIA technology.
  4. Upload a company pitch deck — NVIDIA uses this to understand the business, its solutions, and market positioning for personalized support.
  5. Once accepted, keep the company and product profile in the portal current, since benefit recommendations and VC-introduction eligibility are driven by that profile.

Documents you’ll typically need

Frequently asked

Does NVIDIA Inception cost anything or take equity?

No. NVIDIA states the program is free, with no application fees, no membership fees, and no equity requirement.

Can a startup apply before it is legally incorporated?

No. NVIDIA's own FAQ says the company needs to be incorporated first, and the application requires the incorporation date.

Does a company need to already use NVIDIA GPUs to join?

No. NVIDIA's FAQ confirms startups can join before adopting NVIDIA GPUs; the program helps members identify which NVIDIA products fit their workload.

Is there an age or company-type limit?

Yes. Members must be less than 10 years old at application, employ at least one developer, maintain a website, and be officially incorporated. Consulting/outsourced-development firms, crypto-associated companies, cloud service providers, resellers or distributors, and public companies are not eligible.

Why does the application ask for funding status and a pitch deck?

NVIDIA uses funding status as a maturity signal to decide which members may be a good fit for VC introductions, and the pitch deck to understand the company's mission, product, and market so it can offer personalized support and opportunities.

Are there application deadlines or cohorts?

No. The program accepts applications on a rolling basis year-round; there are no fixed intake windows or cohort dates published on the official page.

What kind of investor access does membership provide?

Eligible members can be introduced to VCs through Inception Capital Connect and the NVIDIA VC Alliance, and are invited to curated networking events with venture capitalists and NVIDIA executives. Investor introductions are eligibility-based, not guaranteed for every member.

Funders read the books before the pitch

Most programmes above ask for financials — statements, runway, spend by category. We keep US books in that shape year-round, so applying is an export, not an archaeology project. We are a consulting firm — licensed work runs through partner CPA firms. Applying, and whoever signs and files, stays yours.
