About this programme
The Industry Innovation Program is run by the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST). It provides non-dilutive funding to help Oklahoma companies push innovation projects toward market commercialization, with an eye toward workforce development and job creation, leveraged capital investment, and increased revenue for the state.
Under OCAST's 2021-2026 Science and Innovation Strategic Plan, funded projects must fall into one of three target industries: aerospace, autonomous systems, and defense; biotechnology; or energy diversification.
How it works
Awards go up to $500,000 per project, and applicants must provide a dollar-for-dollar ($1-for-$1) match.
Funded projects must lead to innovation, new knowledge, or technology that benefits the company, produce measurable results, and have an end-user application within one of the three eligible sectors.
Before funds transfer, the company must register as a State Supplier through the Oklahoma Supplier Portal.
Who can apply
The company must be based in Oklahoma.
At least 51% of the OCAST-funded project work must take place within Oklahoma.
The project must demonstrate economic benefit to the state and fall within aerospace/autonomous systems/defense, biotechnology, or energy diversification.
