About this programme

REI Oklahoma (Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma, Inc.), a community development lender, runs a Veteran Loan Program to help veterans and qualified military individuals access capital to start, grow and build businesses in Oklahoma. REI Oklahoma frames the program around veterans' role in stimulating local economic growth, and built it to give them the financial support needed to make a lasting impact.

It sits alongside REI Oklahoma's other lending programs, including Direct Loans, SBA 504 loans, SBA Microloans, USDA Intermediary Relending, and equipment loans for manufacturing and for meat and poultry businesses.

How it works

The program lends up to $15,000 at a fixed interest rate of 7.50%, with no equity required from the borrower and a 100% financing option, meaning the loan can cover the full project cost.

The loan origination fee is waived.

In a published example, a veteran-owned business used a $15,000 loan, financed entirely through the program (100%), to purchase equipment ($10,000), expand inventory ($3,000), and add working capital ($2,000).
