About this programme

The REDI Fund (Revolving Economic Development and Initiative Fund) is South Dakota's flagship financing tool, managed by the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED). It is a low-interest loan that can be structured around a project's total cost.

It is open to start-up companies, businesses expanding or relocating to South Dakota, and local economic development corporations, and it finances a wide range of business needs tied to a physical project.

How it works

The loan can cover land purchases, site improvements, construction, acquisition or renovation of buildings, and the purchase and installation of machinery and equipment.

The current base interest rate is 3%. Borrowers must contribute a minimum of 10% equity to the project, and GOED takes a shared first lien position on the financed assets alongside other lenders.
