About this programme
Lab-to-Launch is a Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation (VIPC) initiative described as first-of-its-kind, built to fast-track the commercialization of high-growth technologies coming out of Virginia's research universities. It works by connecting university innovation with talent, capital and industry to accelerate the path from invention to startup.
The initiative partners with six R1-designated Virginia universities: the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Virginia Commonwealth University, George Mason University, Old Dominion University, and the College of William & Mary.
How it works
A startup that uses a Virginia Fast-Track License Agreement with one of the six partner universities may qualify for up to $50,000 in VIPC commercialization funding, on top of the licensing arrangement itself.
