About this programme
CREATE-X Startup Launch is Georgia Tech's flagship startup program, open to Georgia Tech students, faculty, researchers, and alumni who want to take an idea (or something further along) into a working startup.
Teams spend a 12-week summer intensive that CREATE-X describes as interning for yourself: attending sessions, team socials, and pitch practices, and building toward Demo Day, which draws more than 1,500 attendees and gives teams investor access.
How it works
Teams receive $5,000 in seed funding, along with in-kind services that the Startup Launch program page values at $150,000, covering coaching from experienced entrepreneurs and business faculty, mentorship from industry veterans and Georgia Tech alumni, pro-bono legal incorporation, accounting and tax planning from a CPA firm, and 24/7 access to co-working office space.
CREATE-X evaluates applicants on three areas: team composition, market and problem identification, and product viability.
