About this programme
The Global NY Fund Grant Program is run by Empire State Development and provides grants and loans to help New York State small and medium-sized businesses go global and create new jobs. All export grants are awarded on a reimbursable basis, meaning the business pays the cost first and is reimbursed after.
The program funds two applicant types on different terms: for-profit companies and not-for-profit organizations that help New York businesses export.
How it works
For-profit companies can receive grants up to $25,000, reimbursing up to 50% of total project costs.
Not-for-profit organizations can receive grants up to $100,000, reimbursing up to 75% of total project costs.
Eligible expenses include market customization, trade show and trade mission participation, export workshops, and product adaptations to meet foreign regulatory requirements.
No costs may be incurred before the grant is awarded, except for trade show deposits.
Who can apply
For-profit companies: located in New York State with 500 or fewer employees in-state, intending to begin or expand international export sales, in business at least one year, and able to demonstrate need for assistance and understanding of export-related costs.

Not-for-profit organizations: New York-based with a demonstrated history of helping state businesses export, registered and up-to-date with the Office of Attorney General's Charities Bureau, prequalified through the Grants Gateway system, and compliant with state statutory requirements.
