About this programme
The Wyoming SBIR Match Grant Program, run by the Wyoming Business Council (WBC), supports companies that have already won a federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) award. WBC describes its goal as catalyzing innovation and business growth in the state by helping companies commercialize their federally funded research.
How it works
WBC matches a company's federal SBIR/STTR award: up to $100,000 for a Phase I award and up to $200,000 for a Phase II award.
A business can receive a maximum of 4 matches over its lifetime.
After applying, evaluation is rolling; qualified applicants pitch virtually to WBC and get notified within two weeks of the pitch. The contract process that follows takes about 45 days.
Awardees go through a three-year post-award reporting period and must maintain a Wyoming presence during that time.
Who can apply
The company must hold an active federal SBIR or STTR award.
At least 50% of the company's employees must be based in Wyoming.
The company must commit to seeking additional funding beyond the SBIR/STTR award.
