When is my BAS due?
Your BAS date, by reporting cycle and period. Lodging through a registered agent usually buys about four weeks, but that is a concession under the ATO lodgment program rather than a deadline you own.

A worked example
The September quarter is due 28 October if you lodge it yourself. Through a registered agent it is usually about four weeks later — but that is a lodgment-program concession, not a statutory date, and your agent’s own program decides it.

This is the standard ATO-published due date. It does not shift for weekends or public holidays — those differ by state, so check the ATO calendar for the exact date if this one falls on a non-business day.

The weekend/public-holiday shift-to-next-business-day rule is not applied, because public holidays differ by state; check the ATO calendar if your date lands on a non-business day. The agent-lodged date is an indicative concession under the ATO lodgment program — not a statutory date, not guaranteed for every taxpayer, and it requires electronic lodgment through the agent’s own portal. What to do with this number: Diarise the self-lodgement date even if an agent lodges for you: the concession is theirs to hold, not yours. If the date lands on a weekend or a public holiday it moves to the next business day, and because holidays differ by state this tool does not shift it for you.
